Shira has over 12 years' experience in implementing successful Geospatial and Emergency Management Information System projects for high profile clients in the public and private sectors in New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East.
In her role as Project Manager, Shira fosters an environment of teamwork and ensures that strategy is clearly defined while overseeing performance and maintaining morale. She has been recognised for her ability to define project scopes and schedules while focusing on valuable and timely delivery, working closely with both her internal project team as well as the customers'. She also has extensive experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with Agile methodology and System Development Lifecycles to fit a project and business environment.
Shira holds a Bachelor of Surveying and Geomatics Engineering and Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Wollongong.
Shira is certified by Scrum.org as both Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) and professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) and she is an ICAGILE Certified Professional (ICP). Shira brings 4 years of proven Agile experience and a solid track record of delivering successful agile projects. She is passionate about deepening the roles in Agile to help Agile move into its fullest expression.
Shira is a member of the Project Management Institute (NZ Chapter) and is an Associate Member of NZIS – New Zealand’s Institute for Surveyors and Spatial Professionals. She also has sound experience as a GIS Manager, Continuous Improvement Specialist, and Software Engineer.
Shira was the project manager for the Student Transport Route Optimiser project which was a finalist in the 2016 NZ Project Management Awards, 2016 NZ Hi-Tech Awards, and 2016 NZ Spatial Excellence Awards.
