Shahira has over 11 years of experience in implementing successful Geospatial and Emergency Management Information System projects for high profile clients in the public and private sectors in New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East.
In her role as Project Manager, Shahira fosters an environment of teamwork and ensures that strategy is clearly defined while overseeing performance and maintaining morale. She has been recognised for her ability to define project scopes and schedules while focusing on valuable and timely delivery, working closely with both her internal project team as well as the customers'. She also has extensive experience in blending traditional project management principles and practices with Agile methodology and System Development Lifecycles to fit a project and business environment.
Shahira holds a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Wollongong and is a member of the Project Management Institute (NZ Chapter). She also has sound experience as a GIS Manager, Continuous Improvement Specialist, and Software Engineer.
Shahira was the project manager for the Student Transport Route Optimiser project which was a finalist in the 2016 NZ Project Management Awards, 2016 NZ Hi-Tech Awards, and 2016 NZ Spatial Excellence Awards.
