Critchlow was recently approached by our trusted global partner, Juvare, about buying our emergency management, business continuity and notification practice services. We entered negotiations and the sale has now been finalised.
The sale brings exciting opportunities for our Emergency Management services to evolve and grow. Juvare is a leading international expert and we are looking forward to seeing how they develop these services and expand them to new markets.
It’s also a great opportunity for us to focus on growing our geospatial offering. We are already recruiting for more roles in this space and expect it to grow further in the coming months and years.
We have been working with Juvare to make sure there is minimal impact on our customers. We are committed to a smooth transition over 3-6 months.

Who is Juvare?
Juvare is an American based company and owner of WebEOC software. They are international experts in Emergency Management that we know and trust to continue to develop the Emergency Management, business continuity and notification division and take them to new markets.
Why is the Emergency Management part of the business being sold?
Now is the right time to take the Emergency Management business to the next level and to new, global markets. Juvare is an international expert that we know and trust in this field. We know they can grow and develop the emergency management business in exciting ways for our valued emergency management customers.
Will the sale mean a change in the service for customers?
No. All our existing customers will continue to get the full 24/7 service they are used to from the Wellington-based team.
How are staff affected?
No staff will lose their jobs. The relevant people in our team will move to Juvare and most of our Geospatial team will remain at Critchlow. Our people are a top priority and staff have been consulted throughout the process. We have been working with Juvare to ensure the transition is smooth. Both teams will work out of the same office initially and the response to the sale has been positive.
