Critchlow are very excited about the release of MapInfo Professional 11.5. This release continues PBS focus for MapInfo Professional around improved usability. The key features of the release include:
Critchlow recently participated in a rare but rather significant spatial data interoperability event in Christchurch. Following the significant earthquakes in Canterbury in 2010 and 2011, the “traditional” methods of sharing geospatial information by file transfer between critical organisations were not adequate to support the scale of change occurring to critical infrastructure data.
When you are using advanced Location Intelligence tools such as MapInfo Professional it can sometimes feel like you have forgotten about the some of the functionality of the product than you remember. At other times you can just stumble across some tool or functionality that you thought might be applicable to your project that either decreases the amount of effort to do the work or adds a whole new dimension to your analysis and insight.
Here at Critchlow, we know that the people that have some of the best product improvement ideas are users (i.e you). The people that use the software like MapInfo everyday and who try different things and really push the limits of the functionality. You are the people who know from experience what works and what could do with a little (or a lot) of improvement.
