We were really excited to launch our new relationship with Nokia Location & Commerce in Wellington yesterday, where it was announced that Critchlow is a preferred reseller of NAVTEQ® Map datasets.
We’re very happy to be able to add the NAVTEQ Map range into our solution portfolio, and it was great to see so many of the Wellington geospatial industry at the launch event – Land Information New Zealand, Geospatial Office, New Zealand Transport Agency, eSpatial, Eagle Technology and others.
This new relationship means commercial and government organisations will now be able to access a larger range of authoritative datasets – many of which haven’t been available on a commercial scale in the New Zealand market place up until now. So this is great news for the industry as a whole.
NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns (10-year history of traffic patterns on main highways), NAVTEQ Transport (a specialised product for the heavy transport industry that provides a fully truck-navigable network), and the sophisticated 3D City model (textured 3D model of Auckland and Wellington) were some of the datasets that we showcased yesterday.
We’re looking forward to working with a wide range of clients about the potential use cases for the new data.
